Amy received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health Care from California State University Long Beach, Post-graduate studies in Education & Teaching, and holds a Pilates certification through Body Arts and Science, founded by Rael Isacowitz.
Amy has furthered her education studying Traditional Thai Massage under the guidance of renowned teachers Rick Gold, and Hope Buchbinder at the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego, and is continually inspired by her studies in Yoga.
Amy’s career background includes Pilates, Personal Training, and has now added Yoga and Thai Massage to her repertoire. Amy thrives on a well-rounded fitness regime and strongly believes that it leads to improved physical and mental health. She uses the incorporation of Thai massage (slow, rhythmic compressions and stretches along the body’s energy lines) in her sessions when appropriate.
Through Pilates, Amy has achieved physical goals she was not able to with resistance training and cardiovascular exercises alone. She has a passion to share this knowledge with others. Amy was inspired through her own training with Kelly and Viktor at Konnect Pilates to learn the latest advancements in the art of Pilates including the BodyCode System, CoreAlign and BBBarre. She continues her education with Viktor and Kelly Uygan with Balanced Body as well as attending Pilates conferences and workshops.
